Official Contest Rules “Northern Michigan’s Biggest Redneck” Contest Stations: WKHQ-FM (106 KHQ) and WSRT-FM (Star Country 106.7) Sponsor: MacDonald Garber Broadcasting, Inc. (the “Stations”)

These Official Rules govern the “Northern Michigan’s Biggest Redneck” Contest (the “Contest”). By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Stations, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including FCC rules (47 C.F.R. § 73.1216). Void where prohibited.

1. Eligibility

The Contest is open only to legal residents of the Total Survey Area (TSA) as defined by Nielsen for the Traverse City-Petoskey market who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Those counties include: Emmet, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Antrim, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Kalkaska, Otsego, Montmorency, Crawford, Oscoda, Roscommon, Presque Isle, Missaukee, Wexford, Manistee, Mackinac, Chippewa, Luce, Mason, Lake, Osceola.

Employees of MacDonald Garber Broadcasting, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers (including Ellsworth Farmer’s Exchange and Redneck Blinds), and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible to enter or win.

The Stations reserve the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet these requirements.

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins on Monday, August 24, 2026 and ends when the winner is selected and contacted on or about Friday, October 2, 2026. Exact entry deadline (if any) and any intermediate cut-off times will be announced on-air and/or posted on the Contest websites. Entries must be received during the Contest Period to be eligible.

3. How to Enter

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve chances of winning.

To enter, visit 106KHQ.com or STARCountry1067.com during the Contest Period and submit an entry telling us why you — or someone you know — is Northern Michigan’s biggest redneck. Entries must include the required contact information as prompted on the entry form.

Limit one (1) entry per person / email address / household, unless otherwise stated. Multiple or incomplete entries may be disqualified. The Stations are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries, or for any technical problems.

4. Winner Selection

One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected by the Stations (or their designated judges) based on the creativity, originality, humor, and “redneck authenticity” of the submitted story, in the Stations’ sole discretion. Selection will occur on or about Friday, October 2, 2026.

The potential winner will be contacted using the contact information provided with the entry. The potential winner must respond within the time frame specified by the Stations (typically 48–72 hours) and will be required to complete, sign, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, and any other documents required by the Stations, and to provide proof of age and residency. Failure to respond or complete required documents may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

In the event of a tie, the Stations will break the tie using criteria of their choosing (e.g., further review of entries or random selection among tied entries). All decisions of the Stations are final.

5. Prize

One (1) Grand Prize: 4x4 Solo Hunter Box Blind from Redneck Blinds from Ellsworth Farmer’s Exchange, retail value $2,375.

Any additional prize details will be announced on-air and/or posted on the Contest websites once finalized. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and has no cash value. No substitution by the winner is allowed. The Stations reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, and any other costs or expenses associated with accepting and using the prize that are not expressly included. Winner will be required to complete IRS Form W-9 for tax reporting purposes.

6. Publicity and Release

By entering, each entrant grants the Stations the right to use the entrant’s name, voice, likeness, biographical information, and the content of the entry (including the “redneck” story) for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes in any media without further compensation, notification, or permission, except where prohibited by law.

Winner (and, if applicable, the person nominated in the entry) may be required to participate in on-air interviews or other promotional activities.

7. General Conditions

• The Stations reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest (or any portion thereof) if it becomes compromised by virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the Stations’ control that corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Contest.
• The Stations reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner.
• Entries that are obscene, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate (as determined by the Stations in their sole discretion) may be disqualified.
• By entering, entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless MacDonald Garber Broadcasting, Inc., the Stations, Ellsworth Farmer’s Exchange, Redneck Blinds, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and prize suppliers from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind arising out of or related to participation in the Contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
• These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between the entrant and the Stations regarding the Contest. Any disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and exclusive venue shall be in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.

8. Winner List / Official Rules
