I Am Artes De La Rosa

Artes de la Rosa is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and interpreting the art, lives, and history of Latin Culture for all to enjoy. Managing, the historic gem of Fort Worth’s North Side, the Rose Marine Theater, Artes de la Rosa has become a Cultural Leader and Artistic Innovator for the Fort Worth Arts Community having produced more then 75 plays and hosted hundreds of dance concerts and symphonies in the Rose Marine's intimate 250 seat theater. In addition, Artes de la Rosa has been nationally recognized by The White House, The Kennedy Center, and The Smithsonian, for its high quality programming and unwavering commitment to arts and arts education in the community. In 2006, Artes Academy was awarded The Coming Up Taller Award. This national honor, given at the White House by the First Lady, is the nation’s highest honor forafter-school arts and humanities programming for youths. Representing Artes de la Rosa was Cruz Serrano, a student of Artes Academy and a first generation Mexican-American, who was the first in his family to fly in an airplane or visit Washington D.C. His visit to the White House made a huge impression of "service to country" and today Cruz proudly serves in the United States Air Force and takes time when he returns to visit Artes Academy.
