Sunny Days

Nurture Home is a supportive program for homeless single mothers and their children. Our program is designed to provide shelter for women who are exiting emergency shelter, domestic violence shelters, or transient, chronic housing situations. Our interventions and structure stabilize these women with the mission being to end the cycle of homelessness for women and their children. Our video shares the heart of our mission...providing stability, emotionally and physically for children in regards to a place to call home. Children who are homeless experience significant dvelopment delays, emotional and behavioral issues, truancy, lower academic performance and are less healthy. Homeless children are much more at risk of asthma, ear infections and diabetes. Our program provides a point of stabilization for mothers and their children while requiring the women to further their education, seek employment/become employable, improve parenting skills, develop a sense of empowerment, and prepare to exit our program able to maintain stable housing.
