Vote: Sleeper Chairs for Palliative Care
Maxville Manor Foundation is calling on the community to support a heartfelt initiative aimed at ensuring no resident spends their final days alone. At the heart of this effort is a simple yet deeply meaningful goal: improving the experience for families and loved ones during palliative care. Staff at Maxville Manor emphasize that, in life’s most difficult moments, presence matters most. However, the current reality presents a challenge. Many family members who wish to remain close to their loved ones at the bedside lack a comfortable space to rest. To address this need, the Foundation is working to secure funding for 2 sleeper chairs ($2500.00 each)—adjustable, supportive seating designed to allow companions to sit, rest, and sleep comfortably alongside residents receiving palliative care.
