"untitled" Barstow: Plate 23

I stayed in a trailer helping a friend mold an adobe hut in the middle of the desert. On this small plot there was one horse, five stray dogs, and many cats. Sun got so hot even the cats wanted to go indoors. This orange cat named Pumpkin followed me out at dusk and watched on of the last sunrises of summertime. If I could I would blow it up to the size of a small wall. It has remained on of my favorite photographs. Shot on a 35mm film camera with no edits made.
