Ephemeral Beauty

I took this photo while on an evening hike in Culver City last October. The warmth of the sun had just began to dissipate as it sank below the horizon and a crisp fall breeze crept in from the west. The silhouettes of some fellow hikers were beautifully illuminated by the ephemeral rays of sunlight reflecting off of the Earth's atmosphere.
