Insight

This Coptic Christian Monk in Ethiopia was mediating in a mountain cave monastery for peace. When I took this photo, in the city there were peaceful protest demonstrations, which ended in violence targeting children. The Monk and I spent time sitting together, looking into each other eyes and holding hands. Although we did not speak each other's mother tongue, we used the language of insight to see into each others mind through the gateway of one heart.
