The following contest is intended for resident in Canada (excluding Quebec), who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry
The Pet Network’s “Talent Search” starts at 1pm (EST) Monday December 3rd,2012, and January 4 2013 at 3pm (EST) with the winner being announced January 4th 2013
ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is offered and open only to legal residents of Canada (Excluding Quebec), who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of The Pet Network Company, its subsidiary companies, affiliates, service providers, advertising and promotional agencies, and the independent judging organization, and the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses or "step" of each) and household members of such employees are not eligible. All Federal, Provincial and Municiapal laws and regulations apply to participation in the Contest. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Contest Rules and Sponsor and Administrator’s dec1sions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
HOW TO ENTER: Enter by submitting a video of your Pet(s) doing anything that makes your pet special. To submit your video, access www.thepetnetwork.tv (“Website”) or the “Talent Search”Video Contest application on the Facebook platform during the Contest Period to upload your photo and complete an on-line entry form. Complete all required fields on the entry form, and follow the instructions to upload your video of your pet, then click "Submit”.
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. You are providing your information to Sponsor and not to Facebook. Questions regarding this Contest should be directed to Sponsor at comments@thepetnetwork.tv, not to Facebook. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. EST on the last day of the ENTRY Period to be eligible for consideration in the Contest.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Do not include any branded products, trademarks or logos in the video, title or description. Each video must contain at least one pet. The Entrant must own each pet in the video. Videos must be the original work of the entrant; may not have won previous awards; may not have been published previously; must not infringe third-party rights; and must be suitable for public viewing, i.e., may not be obscene or indecent. Any video of a Pet in an unsafe position or committing an unsafe act will not be considered. Entries that do not comply with these requirements or any other requirements set forth in these Official Contest Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will not be posted or, if posted, will be removed from the Website and the Talent search video Contest application on Facebook. If an Entrant’s video is selected as a winner, the Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Entrant will execute, Liability/Publicity Release and Assignment of Rights, in which he/she will irrevocably assign and transfer to the Sponsor any and all rights, title and interest in each element of the photo, title and description, including, without limitation, all copyrights, as a condition of receiving a prize. All entrants agree that upon submission of each video, Entrant will execute, Liability/Publicity Release and Assignment of Rights, in which he/she will irrevocably assign and transfer to the Sponsor any and all rights. Entrant represents that he/she owns all rights to each element of his/her video. Sponsor's determination as to whether the photo/caption potentially violates the rights of any third party is final. Each Entrant irrevocably grants Sponsor and its affiliates, legal representatives, assigns, agents and licensees, the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, display, adapt, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used), each element of the Entrant's video, title and description, in each case, as submitted or as edited/modified in any way by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion), as well as to use Entrant's name, likeness, video (collectively, "Likeness"), and/or statements regarding his/her participation in this Contest (with or without using the Entrant's name) in any and all media without limitation as to time or territory, and without additional compensation or approval from the Entrant or any other party. Entrant waives intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights or other legal or moral rights that might preclude the Sponsor's use of any element of the entry, and agrees not to sue or assert any claim against the Sponsor for the use of any element of the video, title, description or Entrant's Likeness or statements. Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold Sponsor, its agencies and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, as well as Facebook, Inc., and any of their employees (collectively, the "Indemnitees"), harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Indemnitees due to or arising out of the use of any element of Entrant's participation in connection with this Contest, including but not limited to claims for trademark infringement, copyright infringement, violation of an individual’s right of publicity or right of privacy, or defamation. Entrant further agrees to release Sponsor from any and all claims that any advertising subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of Sponsor infringes Entrant's rights with regard to any elements or ideas contained in any element of the entry.
VOTING/JUDGING: During the Contest Period, entries will be posted on the Pet Network Website and the Talent Search Video Contest application on Facebook and thepetnetwork.tv. Members and fans of the The Pet Network page on Facebook will be able to vote for their favorite Pet Limit five votes per person per video per day, during the Contest Period. The use of automated voting methods is strictly prohibited and suspect votes will be disqualified. Any attempt by entrant and/or his/her family/friend to vote more than the number of times authorized herein using multiple names or email addresses and/or any other fraudulent mechanism, as determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion, shall give Sponsor the right to disqualify entrant at its reasonable discretion. The public voting period begins at 12:01am on December 22nd 2012, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. EST on the last day of the Contest Period. Within approximately 6 days of the end of the Contest Period entries will be judged by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the Contest. Public voting will count toward 50% of the total score assigned to each entry. The remaining 50% of the total score will be based on the score assigned by one or more independent judges.

The top winner will take home an iPad Mini (Approx Value 329.00 CAD)
The top 3 winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) of “Talent Search Contest” will be awarded the prestigious opportunity for their pets talents to be the featured on the Pet Network Hall of Fame and appear on TV
Your pet’s video could be used for, but not limited to: station I.D.’s, programming billboards, promotional marketing materials including print and video.
NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION: Winners are subject to verification by Sponsor or Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winners will be notified by email following the winner selection. All decisions made by contest judges are final and binding.
