CERT & STEM Keeps us Safe & Educates!

Because Houston Loves You, a Texas 501c3 “Lift them Up”, a family literacy program developed to help families become holistically literate. Each program improves families’ quality of life: safety, parenting, health literacy, financial literacy, GED, ESL, tutoring, mentoring and college preparation touches the lives of each family member. While each family member participates in the adult literacy programs, we provide fun hands on projects and programs. This year we have chosen CERT. Last years graduates enjoyed the program and suggested CERT as a community project this year. Each family member can choose programs of interest; teens, children, and parents can prepare to be members of the Community Emergency Response Team. Training is fun and the entire family can participate. Preparing teens for emergencies that can save their lives is great for every community. STEM girls enjoy training. Mothers and daughters learn about non-traditional jobs that can save their lives and keep their community safe. Support our CERT team.
