Lucy Casey
Lucy is my 12 year old, wire haired, Jack Russel terrier. She has always been extremely smart and well behaved. At an early age she developed an infatuation with tennis balls. So, we never had any issues with her chewing furniture or other items she shouldn't as long as she had a ball she liked. If you took her to a grass field and threw her ball as far as you could, Lucy would run and grab her ball and bring it all the way back to you! She would play ball until she could hardly move anymore.
She's such a smart girl! If she drops the ball at your feet and it rolls, but you tell her it's too far away, she will nudge it closer. She will even sit it in your lap if you keep telling her you can't reach it.
Due to a lifetime of intense activity, Lucy now has quite a bit of stiffness in her joints. These days I have to lift her up to get her in my bed at night, but I don't mind at all. She gets around just fine. She just can't jump as high and wears out a bit more quickly. She's my sweet girl! Thank you for the chance to share her with you.
